The Universal Coin Lock is a pay door lock most commonly used for bathroom doors. It can be coin-operated, token operated or there is a unit that will accept a quarter or token.

Choose the coin operated door lock if you wish to charge.

Choose the token operated door lock if you do not wish to charge your customers, but want control over who uses the facilities.

Choose the token/quarter combo door lock if you wish to charge your non-customers but not charge customers.

The unit comes with installation instructions or you can contact your local locksmith for installation.

How does it work?

Your customer inserts one quarter or one token into the door lock, turns the handle and enters the bathroom. The door locks behind them and will now read “IN USE” and will not allow another coin or token to be inserted. ( Coin/token will drop into the money box as soon as the door shuts. ) When exiting the bathroom they turn an inside handle. The door now reads “VACANT” and is ready for another user.

If you have a multiple user door lock, the door will always read “VACANT”.

Each bathroom door lock comes with two pass keys, to allow attendants to enter to clean or stock supplies, and two money box keys to collect coins/tokens.

Any bathroom door lock set to accept tokens or the quarter/token combo will come with 50 tokens free per unit ordered. Additional tokens are sold in bags of 100.

Each bathroom door lock is built specifically to your order, so be sure to read through the following information that we will need to be complete your order.

What is the swing of the door?

When standing OUTSIDE the bathroom and looking at the entry door: Do you push the door into the bathroom?

OR

Do you pull the door towards yourself?

Are the hinges on the right or left of the door while standing OUTSIDE ?

What is the door made of? ( Wood or Metal ) What is the frame made of? ( Wood or Metal )

How thick is the door in inches? ( This is very important. Measure the door, Don’t guess! )

Is this a single user bathroom? ( Only allows one person in at a time, there is only one toilet ) OR Is this a multiple user bathroom? ( two or more stalls/toilets )

Will this be coin operated, token operated, or coin/token combo?
